Build upon your classroom studies through our Hotel Internship Program opportunities. You will learn first-hand about a hotel's operations. Tasks Include:
• Welcome and acknowledge each guest according to standards, anticipate guests' service needs
• Speak to guests and colleagues using clear, appropriate and professional language. Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process
• Interact & engage with guests, thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
• Maintain cleanliness of work and guest areas, pick-up trays and clean tables as needed
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests
• Set tables according to type of event and service standards
• Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Greets and receives guests, checking of reservation and table management system
• Introducing menus and making recommendations
• Taking orders, processing orders in POS
• Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, process all payment methods in accordance with accounting procedures and policies
• Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures
• Follow and shadow restaurant manager
