About the Scheme

The Singapore-China Youth Interns Exchange Scheme (YES) enables Singaporean youths to intern in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for up to 6 months and vice versa. Youths from Singapore and China will be able to access the list of internship opportunities and relevant information on this website. Companies will be able to maintain their company profiles and publish internship positions available on the website.

Host company to issue an internship contract to the prospective intern.

Letter of Eligibility (LOE) Application

Letter of Eligibility (LOE) Application

School will apply for LOE on behalf of students on the YES website while Young Working Adults will apply for LOE on the YES website by themselves.
VISA Application

VISA Application

Host company to apply for an entry permit at Authority of Work Permit for Foreigners in China with necessary documents and send to the intern.
With the entry permit, interns to apply for Z-Visa at the Chinese Embassy in Singapore
Arrival in China

Arrival in China

For internship ≥ 90 days, interns to apply for Work Permit for Foreigners in China at visa processing office within 15 days.

Internship Contract

Host company to issue an internship contract to the prospective intern. The prospective intern will then proceed to apply a confirmation letter from National Centre for Human Resources Mobility, PRC.

Training Employment Pass (TEP) Application

Training Employment Pass (TEP) Application

Host company to apply TEP for prospective interns through Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) website. MOM will issue an In-Principle Approval (IPA) Letter to the company and it will be sent to the prospective intern.
Internship Journey Begins

Internship Journey Begins

Interns to embark on internship with the IPA letter received from the host company (no Singapore entry visa is required).
Arrival in Singapore

Arrival in Singapore

Interns has to go for a medical check-up and inform MOM on their address in Singapore.
Obtain TEP on MOM website after the necessary check-ups.
